Heat Treatment & Finishing
All steel castings require heat treatment to achieve the correct metallurgical properties prior to shipment.
The heat treatment processes available inhouse are:
⦁ Normalising of Steel
⦁ Annealing of Steels
⦁ Stress Relief Annealing of Irons and Steels
⦁ Quench and Tempering of Steels
⦁ Solution Annealing of Stainless Steels
⦁ Precipitation hardening of Stainless Steels
Austral Alloys has four electric heat treatment furnaces all of which provide calibrated temperature control and continuous data logging. All furnaces are controlled & monitored by Shimaden Microscan wireless technology allowing them to be accessed remotely via laptop and are accompanied by water or air blast quenching facilities.
