With over 30 years of experience in the metal industry, Mat began his career at a Forge and Engineering business, progressing through various roles to become Operations Manager. In 2011, he brought his wealth of knowledge and leadership to Austral Alloys, where he continues to play a pivotal role in driving production excellence.

Mat was instrumental during the Company’s acquisition by Austral Alloys Australia Pty Ltd in 2021, helping navigate the transition and supporting the business through a significant period of growth and development. As a core member of the management team, he oversees all aspects of production, ensuring output targets are consistently met while maintaining the highest standards in stainless steel and high nickel-chromium alloy castings.

A respected and hands-on leader, Mat is known for his can-do attitude, leading by example and always keeping the wellbeing of his team front of mind. His dedication and practical approach are key to the ongoing success of our operations .
