The science of producing a sound casting initially involves close co-operation between the Client and the Foundry, with many problems being eliminated at this early stage. Our input into pattern and casting design together with good foundry practice is the best solution to achieve a cost effective and sound casting.

Our production procedures are computerised and traceable through our own customised software as an integral part of our quality system.

Methoding, ie the design and location of runners and risers, is carried out using the Swedish Novacast® computer programme for all castings made at Austral Alloys. We employ extensive use of 3D modelling combined with solidification simulation to ensure that critical castings are properly methoded.

Alloy choices and Specifications can be discussed and determined with the assistance of our on-site Metallurgists.

Our casting development programme is a valuable service which we are proud to offer without additional charge once an order is received. As well as the production of Stainless Steel, Alloy Steel and Steel Castings we also offer the following sub-contract services.
