MiscellaneousHere is additional miscellaneous information that may be of interest to current and to future customers Pattern StorageTo date we have made over 2800 different castings. We hold, in our premises, over 1000 patterns for about 300 customers. These patterns are stored without charge. They are not insured by our company. We strongly recommend that your patterns be All Risks Insured under your own insurance policy.

Development of New CastingsThe art of producing a sound casting involves close initial co-operation between the Client and the Foundry. Many problems of poor casting design or compromised or incorrect methoding can be eliminated at this early stage. Our input of pattern design together with good foundry practice is the best solution to achieve a cost effective and sound casting. All our Production Procedures are computerised and all castings that we make are methoded (ie the design and location of runners, feeders and risers) using the Swedish Novacast® computer programme. Our Metallurgists can also make suggestions for Alloy choices and Specifications. Please contact us if you require any assistance in a casting development programme which is offered without charge. Pattern MakingWe can quote you on all pattern manufacturing requirements. If we provide patterns then our quoted Pattern price covers the responsibility for all casting development and methoding costs involved in the production of the final casting. If you obtain patterns from third parties these hidden costs, which can be substantial, are extra to you as they are not provided in our Casting price. Conditions of Sale and Product LiabilityWe conduct business only under our " Standard Conditions of Sale" a copy of which will be sent to you on request. Please ask for a copy of our disclaimer on "Product Liability". It is our Company's policy to limit any claims to casting replacement or full credit at our option. We have a "Machining Claims Data Sheet" explaining the company's position on our policy of dealing with claims for machining. This document which will be sent to you upon request or it can be viewed by clicking the link above. Non Ferrous CastingsPlease enquire as we issue quotations for certain Non-Ferrous castings.
