Quality Assurance

1.

Inspection and testing requirements for each individual casting produced are recorded in Austral Alloys casting database as part of its ISO9001 quality system.

2.

Quality Control is exercised over all production variables from incoming raw materials through to the final inspection of the casting. Austral Alloys holds Quality Assurance Accreditation to ISO 9001:2015 under QEC 14577 certification.

3.

Austral Alloys can provide independent NATA certification for Chemical Composition, Mechanical Properties, Ultrasonic, X-Ray, Gamma Ray, Magnetic Particle and Dye Penetrant inspections of our castings. We are able to conduct in house Metallographic, Brinell hardness, Rockwell Hardness, Chemical Analysis, Magnetic Particle, Dye Penetrant and Pressure Testing of our castings.

4.

Austral Alloys operates a 25 element Spectromax Optical Emission Spectrometer for chemical analysis of all castings produced. The spectrometer is calibrated against certified reference standards for each individual alloy grade.

5.

All melts are checked and adjusted for correct composition before pouring ensuring correct chemical and mechanical properties on every casting poured.
